Out of the blue
"Out of the blue" è un'espressione inglese usata per indicare qualcosa di totalmente inaspettato.
Poter assistere allo spettacolo dell'innevarsi delle cime alpine ha rappresentato un momento di riflessione, così inattesa e intensa da essere come un fulmine che squarcia il blu del cielo.
La montagna incontaminata nella sua ostilità e imponenza è per me l'immagine ultima del desiderio e della conquista della libertà.
Le cime alpine svettano fuori dal blu del cielo e costituiscono la principale catena montuosa europea, stagliandosi a nord dell'Italia e definendone i confini.
Nel corso della storia, nonostante la loro insidiosa morfologia, le montagne, in particolare le Alpi, hanno rappresentato la libertà per popoli che le abitavano essendo valico o baluardo. Quella libertà che ha permesso alle popolazioni che l'abitavano di creare, modificare o cancellare storie e leggende ambientandole in quei luoghi.
"Out of the blue" is an English expression used to indicate something totally unexpected. Being able to watch the spectacle of the snow-capped Alpine peaks has represented a moment of reflection, so unexpected and intense as to be like a thunderbolt that pierces the blue of the sky.
The uncontaminated mountain in its hostility and grandeur is for me the ultimate image of desire and the conquest of freedom. The Alpine peaks rise out of the blue of the sky and form the main European mountain range, standing in the north of Italy and defining its boundaries.
During the course of history, despite their insidious morphology, the mountains, in particular the Alps, have represented freedom for peoples who lived there as a pass or bulwark. That freedom that allowed the populations who inhabited it to create, modify or erase stories and legends by setting them in those places.
